Over 150 Local Senior Care Advisors Nationwide
Choosing a safer senior housing option, unfortunately, cannot be made by appearance alone. What is most important is something that really can’t be seen. It is "Can this community really care for your senior?" That's why CarePatrol's advisors complete a "Care Discovery" and base our recommendations on care options that can specifically meet your individual needs and preferences.
Meet Your Local CarePatrol Senior AdvisorWe believe in private & personalized tours. We literally walk you through the steps. You will never get a list from us and be told to “go visit them alone, or on your own.” After we’ve matched your individualized needs to safer care options in your area, we will accompany you on a tour of each one of them. Or, we will provide a virtual tour if that works better for you. You are never alone because we will be your personal care guide from start to finish.
Meet Your Local CarePatrol Senior AdvisorWe insist on transparency with pricing & services. We don’t like surprises either. How to pay for care is always a concern and a valid question of our clients. Another important question relates to what services are provided in a specific care option. We can help alleviate these concerns. We will inform you of private, Veterans, or other government programs that you may be eligible for.

Meet Your Local CarePatrol Senior AdvisorKen and his wife, Cynthia, launched CarePatrol SC in 2012. Prior to entering the world of senior living, Ken had an executive level career in manufacturing, including 25 years of starting new companies. Certainly not the typical background one would associate with senior placement services, but personal experiences changed the course for him.
He found himself in the same position as many of the families we serve. His mother needed to find a senior living community within days, and they didn’t know where to start. He discovered that it’s a system not easily navigated without advice and direction from professionals; and the short time frame they had, didn’t allow much room for figuring it out on their own. The family was frustrated and overwhelmed, and he decided to find a better way for families in South Carolina to walk through this.
Ken then became a Certified Senior Advisor and learned the landscape of senior living and care in SC before speaking to his first CarePatrol client. His business background is a great asset to families who need assistance with financial questions, budgeting, and comprehending long-term care policies. Remembering the helplessness his family felt fuels his desire to serve families in similar situations.
Ken and Cynthia have two grown children and are active in various ministry and civic organizations in the state. They have assembled a team of professionals throughout South Carolina who are compassionate, knowledgeable, and proud to help families with one of life’s most difficult and harrowing transitions. Ken considers himself blessed to be able to help seniors and their families navigate the oftentimes challenging process of finding the best possible senior living options. He listens to the senior's wants and needs, concerns and preferences before recommending appropriate levels of care such as; Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care or In Home Care. Ken went through the same daunting experience some years ago as the families he now helps when needing to place one of his parents in a matter of a couple of days who lived out of town. Remembering the helpless feeling and all the questions he had back then, this experience gave him the understanding and passion that he has today to help families.
Has lived in South Carolina much of his life.
He is happily married for over 25 years with two children. He likes sports, music, and is active in his church.
Prior to CarePatrol, Ken had a career in manufacturing for over 25 years.
Committed, caring and compassionate.
When Ken helps families, he feels grateful to be able to help.
In years past, most people referred to senior living collectively as nursing homes. There was no distinction between types of facilities and care needs. Seniors and their families had fewer options for varying requirements and preferences. While the world of senior living has changed significantly in recent years, there are still many people who remember the stigmas associated with nursing homes of old and are hesitant to consider senior living communities for themselves or a loved one.
